A notebook for every day of the year

The concept of the ITO BINDERY notebook is simple: a notebook you carry every day. Something you use daily should feel natural and comfortable, never in the way, always in your bag or at hand. It is a notebook only a bookbinding company could make.
Pages for a whole year
Leaving out days off, there are about 270 working days in a year. Bookbinding works in 16-page signatures, so the notebook has 272 pages. Use it through the year, start a new one each year, and looking back later becomes easy.
Paper that is easy on the eyes
For something you use every day, the paper matters. The makers chose a specific paper mill to get a gentle, soft white, and after many trials settled on a soft green-gray for the 3.5 mm grid, so you can write freely and still keep neat line spacing. The paper is thin yet resists show-through, and pens simply glide across it.

Easy to use anywhere
Thread-sewn binding lets the notebook open a full 360 degrees, so you can hold it in one hand and write standing up. The slightly firm cover helps too, and there is a ribbon bookmark, a detail the designer insisted on. The logo is debossed without color, visible only when it catches the light. ITO BINDERY notebooks are highly regarded both in Japan and abroad.

About ITO BINDERY
Ito Bindery began in 1938 as a small notebook-binding workshop in Tokyo. Over the decades it grew into a bookbinding company producing catalogs and printed materials, along with special folding work that machines alone cannot finish. ITO BINDERY is its stationery brand: notebooks and memo blocks that make the most of everything the company knows about paper and binding, from choosing materials to the final cut.
