The millefoglie, in rare cordovan

The palm-sized millefoglie wallet, made in its most luxurious version. The outer piece is cordovan, leather taken only from the hindquarters of certain horses. Only the inner layer is tanned, giving a fine, dense surface with a unique sheen; it is tough and rare.
About m+
m+ (emmepiu, エムピウ) is a leather goods brand founded in 2001 in Kuramae, Tokyo, by Mr. Murakami, a former architect who trained as a leather craftsman in Italy. Drawn to the depth of leather aging, he uses only carefully chosen leathers from first-rate Italian tanneries, trusted for their quality, color, durability and the way they age.
1. Design and function in one
Folded from a single piece of leather, it looks like a card case until you open it. It fits in a back pocket, the wide coin pocket makes coins easy to take out, and bills, coins and cards are all within reach at the till.

2. A natural leather interior
The interior is vegetable-tanned natural cowhide, a premium combination, with khaki cotton used only where thinness and strength are needed. Because this leather is thicker, the wallet is made 27 mm deep to give a little extra room: about 10 bills, 15 coins and 20 cards.

3. About cordovan
When new, cordovan can show some roughness, fuzz, light pressure marks or a whitish look where it bends. With use the surface settles and develops a deep gloss.
The joy of using, more than buying
Most things lose value as you use them. Leather is different: as you use it, your hands, your habits and your memories soak into it, and it becomes something irreplaceable. m+ makes wallets to be grown into your own, not just bought.

- Because the leather is finished to show its natural character, there may be color variations, veins, small marks or creases. Please enjoy them as part of the leather.
