A cutting board with a beautiful grid of bamboo grain

TEORI GRID bamboo cutting boards

GRID shows off the grid-like lines of laminated bamboo, each piece a natural mosaic. Compact yet thick enough for real prep work, it is great in the kitchen and just as good for cutting and serving cheese or fruit at the table.

A handy small board

Finished with natural bamboo oil, the board is antibacterial and water-repellent, so you can use it with confidence. Its small size means you can set it on top of your main chopping board and switch between boards as you cook.

Why laminated bamboo?

Bamboo is remarkably strong. It resists bending and compression, hardly warps after it is worked, and is naturally antibacterial and deodorising, which is why it is used for things like library shelving. On its own, though, a bamboo cane can only be made into a limited range of things. TEORI takes the time to turn bamboo into laminated bamboo: strips are planed, dried and glued into solid blocks that can be shaped into almost anything. The end grain of many strips joined together creates a natural pattern that is a design in itself. Bamboo also grows back without replanting and is ready to use in three to five years, making it a truly sustainable material.
