Beer tastes better from tin

About Osaka Suzuki
Osaka Suzuki (大阪錫器) was founded in Osaka in 1949 and today produces nearly all of Osaka Naniwa Suzuki (Osaka tinware), a designated Traditional Craft of Japan with more than 300 years of history. Its craftspeople, including nationally certified traditional craftsmen, cast, turn and finish every piece by hand.
1. Cold in an instant
On a hot day, nothing beats beer from a chilled mug. Tin conducts heat so well that you don't even need to chill this one: pour in cold beer and the mug turns cold within moments, with droplets forming on the surface.
2. A fine, creamy head
The inside of the mug is finished with a hand-hammered tsuchime texture, which creates fine, creamy foam, just like a beer poured by an expert.

3. Mellower flavor
Tin has long been prized for purifying water: in old China it was sunk into wells, and many people still put a piece of tin in a vase to keep flowers fresh. It brings out the flavor of beer and makes it taste rounder.
4. A smooth, polished rim
The craftsmen polish the rim by hand for a gentle feel on the lips.

5. Four styles
- Straight: a clean, upright cylinder (approx. 280 ml).
- Noble: a softly curved handle (approx. 300 ml).
- Berg Small / Berg Large: an all-over hammered finish (approx. 300 ml / 400 ml).
Ready to give
Every piece comes in a paulownia wood (kiri) box, the traditional Japanese gift box. Handmade by traditional craftspeople and presented in wood, Osaka Suzuki tinware is a long-time favorite for birthdays, retirements, weddings and the 10th wedding anniversary (the "tin anniversary").
